My Story

Some folks are talking about "the why", so I'll say why not. Why not be concerned for the overall wellness of my neighbors? Since a young age, I've always felt compelled to help people. I know personally what it feels like to believe that I'm walking alone. That belief was debunked long ago and when I realized that I've never been alone, I just needed to allow someone in. My journey in behavioral health began in the early 2000s and with a course in Social Work. Through Social Work, I've understood the space that I hold within the greater society and that everyone has something to offer. Reigning In Light started more as a "what," what if I take what I'm learning as I grow and share it with others. It is true that sometimes we need help conventionally, it is also true that sometimes we need help holistically and sometimes we need both medicines. Reigning In Light is a holistic approach to treating the mind, body and spirit and with established and proven methods like CBT, DBT, IPT, ACT, MBCT, MI, humanistic therapy mentalization therapy and psychodynamic therapy and more. Reigning In Light Wellness & Therapeutic Supports is designed to be a journey of enlightenment, healing & hope. We are all divinely created and by living within our spirit, hold a special power to create peace for ourselves and the world around us.
